Where is Alaska Trophy Fishing Safaris located?

We are located 300 miles southwest of Anchorage on the Mulchatna River, which feeds Bristol Bay. Our located provides our guests immediate access to hundereds of miles of river where our guests rarely, if ever, have seen another fishing boat. Enjoy scenic boat rides through the virtually untouched Alaskan bush each day with your guide as you seek out your favorite species or grab a pole after dinner and fish right from our own landing. Either way, your access to fishing each day is not compromised by rain or fog and can start and end whenever you want.

Do I need to bring my own cooler to bring my fresh catch back home?

Alaska Trophy Fishing Safaris will clean, vacuum seal and freeze your catch for you. On the day you depart, we will provide you a 48-quart cooler filled with your frozen catch. We will pack the coolers to weigh no more than 50 lbs so you will not incur extra costs on your flight from Anchorage back home.

Is there internet and/or electricity?

Alaska Trophy Fishing Safari will have internet connectivity. Internet access will be provided to you ONLY if you request it. Most of our guests prefer disconnecting the entire week, but if you have to stay connected to home or work, we have you covered. All we ask is for guest privacy be repected and no live streaming involving any other guests or staff.

What fishing gear is provided?

Alaska Trophy Fishing Safaris provides flyrod/reels, regular rodreels (both ultralights and longer rods) with fresh mono and braided line so you can land the big ones. Our guides will carry for you a full arsenal of lures, leaders, bobbers, flies etc to make sure you have every weapon available to you in the boat. If you have your favorite lures,/tackel, please feel free bringing whatever you would like.

What does our guest/ATFS staff member ratio?

Our camp can serve up to 20 guests, if needed. But we consider the camp full at 16 guests. Our boats will leave each morning with 2 guest and 1 guide per boat, unless requests are made to have 3 guests in a boat. Our total staff of 15 ensures nearly a 1:1 guest/staff ratio. Our mission is to provide you with the ultimate level of service during every minute of your stay.
